Other risk factors include excessive alcohol consumption, NASH, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), exposure and ingestion of aflatoxin, diabetes mellitus, tobacco, and sporadically genetic diseases such as alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency, hemochromatosis, tyrosinemia, porphyria and Wilson’s disease.
